August 3rd, 2019 - Acoustic Underground Concert
ACOUSTIC UNDERGROUND CONCERT SERIES IS PROUD TO PRESENT THE PETERS ROAD SWAMP BLUES BAND!

$8 Folk Club Members, $10 General Admission Suggested Donation

The Peters Road Swamp Blues Band (PRSBB) was first gathered on Labor Day SUNDAY in 1988 by co-founders Boomslang Swampsinger and Warren “Wardog” Vanderplate in a small barber shop on Old Peters Road; the old farm road that historically connected the markets of the original town of Fort Lauderdale and the farming community of Davie, just as the music of the band continues to link urban-village music to the rural sounds of the areas beyond exurbia. The band plays their own brand of Florida "Roadhouse" music with all original songs focusing on Florida, it's history and the Everglades.

After Boomslang Swampsinger died, the band decided that his music is far too important to allow it to fade from public appreciation. The still aptly named Peters Road Swamp Blues Band still performs and dedicates each of its performances to the memory and legacy of Boomslang Swampsinger, so that people will never him.

The Peters Road Swamp Blues Band features Mark "Crocodile" Harris on bass, guitar and vocals, Dawn "DeOtter" DeWitt on guitar and bass and vocals, Jake "Armadillo" Vanderplate on mandolin (son of co-founder “Wardog” Vanderplate, vocals and percussion, Jame “Jams a lot" Barton on roadhouse keyboard and vocals and Stan "the Panther" Geberer on blues harp and vocals.

$8 Folk Club Members, $10 General Admission Suggested Donation
